MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu (his 2016 hit) received the Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017 Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. It reached the top 8 spot within the Top Latin Albums Chart. In the following year, he joined Ozuna for their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. Mala Influencia is released in 2020 by Noriel as well as his Dopamina album the following year. He appeared later in 2021 as a duo with TINI on her streaming smash track Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo was brought up within a musical family, as both his mother & younger brother are musicians. In his interviews, Turizo has said that music is essential. He was taught how to play the guitar, saxophone Ukulele, and piano while a young child. Despite initially wanting to work as a vet, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban singing teacher would change the direction of his career.
