Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both lawyers. When she was a kid she attended the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. At the age of six, Emma knew she would like to be an actress. For many years she studied at the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theatre school where she studied singing dancing and acting. At the age of 10 years old, Emma took part in many Stagecoach plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the movie version of J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was first cast for first time at the beginning of 1999. Emma was spotted by Emma's Oxford Theatre instructor. David Heyman told Emma along with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe after they all had eight straight auditions. Emma's debut film coincided with the release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). The highest-grossing movie of 2001 The film broke records for its debut day opening and opening weekend takings. The film was praised by critics who praised the film, particularly the younger actors. The Daily Telegraph in Britain and the Daily Telegraph in America, widely read, called her performance commendable. Emma's performance was nominated and won five awards later for the movie.
