Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, from Mexico was born into the music-loving parents of her family. Her early years were spent listening to traditional music, old boleros, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is passionate about tangos and opera, along with the dramatic shows that she attends. She started singing and studying music with her mother, then began more intense training in singing at the age of 16 with renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. In the following years, she was a student at The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. As a student and young professional, she performed with numerous chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. When she moved to California in United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present residence in southern California. She is a frequent soloist at private parties and events singing classical Latin American Music. Alongside being a local performer and instructor the passion for arts and music keeps her active in a variety of different projects. Ana was also a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as well as members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able to be able to share her love for traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will encourage younger generations to continue the tradition.
